HAIP’s services are remote under the Covid-19 National lockdown however remain committed to supporting the whaanau and communities we serve. We acknowledge that this is a difficult time for everyone and will make every effort to continue to provide quality services and contact during this period.
HAIP’s management team meet via Zoom on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and regular team meetings are held throughout the week to ensure staff are receiving the level of support they need. Management and staff are contactable during normal business hours from 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday. All phone calls and referrals are received by management, logged and redirected to the appropriate administrator and manager.
Zoom Karakia and waiata are held every day throughout the week to support our teams.

Has operational management of administration and the Team Leads for Integrated Safety Response (ISR), Programmes and Community. All reception calls and email referrals have been re-directed to Puawai during the lockdown period and these will be forwarded to the administrators and Team Leads. There will be no face to face frontline engagement now the nation is operating in a National Level 4 risk environment however this will be reviewed weekly. Please refer all day to day queries and operational matters to Puawai.

Our ISR team are remote now, however have full I.T access to systems so are fully operational. High risk will continue to be coordinated through our Plan Lead and caseloads have increased to 30 to provide an increased level of regular contact and support. Programmes also have full I.T access and their client lists for non-violence and safety programmes are updated daily. Clients will be contacted and supported on a weekly basis and referrals will be tracked and monitored by the administrator and manager once these are received. Non-Violence and Safety Programmes will be delivered via Zoom or Skype and all redirected programme inquiries, phone calls and referrals will be logged, tracked and monitored. Emergency House will not be available for the 4-week National lockdown period due to the increased risk of Community transmission in a residential setting. There are no current external Covid-19 infectious protocols in place to screen or assess Perpetrators of Domestic Violence during the incident and prior to entry.
